This is the only app I found that does exactly what I wanted: It allows me to quickly document what I eat, my blood sugar, how much I exercise and sleep and anything and everything else with pictures and/or a menu of ingredients (or exercises, or any text) that Ive entered over time. I do like the way you can scroll back quickly and see what foods were associated with good blood sugar readings (photos of my meter). I dont use the "moods" part of this app at all.
Okay, that said, I hate this app so much that I actually yell at it. It randomly crashes when you add photos, the look up of items sometimes doesnt work, the alpha list index is wrong (when you add ingredients and your list is long, it says that you are in the N section when you are still in the Ms, for example), the capitalization of ingredients sorts them in the wrong place (all upper case A-Z before lower case), you cant edit previously entered items, some things you enter, including photos just disappear later for no reason, you cant change the time stamp of an item (important if you forgot to document something and want to do it later), and the developer just isnt working on this project any more, I believe. Apple should have a law that undeveloped apps automatically become open source after a year so we can write the features we want. The developer does seem cool. Worth a try.
